Q: Hi, I just had a period that lasted alot longer than usually. It is about the 3rd period I have had within the past 6-8 weeks. Since it has ended, I have had a little foul odor and discharge. I was wondering if this could be a yeast infection caused by having so many periods I have had in the time period I mentioned? If not, what could I do about the odor that I have? The odor has not gone away even after showering and douching would give me a yeast infection if I don't already have one. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

I did it in the middle of the afternoon and was pretty active the rest of the day. Did not realize I should have laid down and given it time to work. I have had some relief but it's not gone, I feel like alot of it leaked out and I'm still feeling some leakage. Did I not give it a chance to work and what should I do now? I'm worried because I am scheduled to start another round of antibiotics as part of a preop for upcoming unrelated surgery in 5 days. Thank you

Q: I've heard a couple places on the Internet that you need to iron your underwear--or do something else that will use high temperatures--to kill yeast so you don't reinfect yourself. I was wondering if this was true, though, since I can't seem to find a reputable source that mentions this. I also don't understand how you could 'reinfect' yourself with the yeast--since it is part of your natural vaginal ecosystem anyway. Do I need to treat my underwear or clothing that has touched my underwear in the hamper?
