I was wondering if this could be a yeast infection caused by having so many periods I have had in the time period I mentioned? If not, what could I do about the odor that I have? The odor has not gone away even after showering and douching would give me a yeast infection if I don't already have one. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Q: I've had a few problems with my vaginal area ever since I got my first papsmear (sp?) about a month ago. I noticed a UTI problem before the appointment and pretty much treated that on my own. The dr. said everything looked fine since the infection. But ever since the dr.'s, I've been having pee/vaginal issues, I feel like I have to go alot and when it does come only little comes out. Also, lately there has been itching. I am so uncomfortable! I keep clean and my mother bought me a Monistat product to use but i'm not sure if what I have is a yeast infection. Will it clear up without use?

Q: After finishing 2 rounds of antibiotics for a uti, I developed a yeast infection. I used the Monistat 1 day almost 3 days ago. I did it in the middle of the afternoon and was pretty active the rest of the day. Did not realize I should have laid down and given it time to work. I have had some relief but it's not gone, I feel like alot of it leaked out and I'm still feeling some leakage. Did I not give it a chance to work and what should I do now? I'm worried because I am scheduled to start another round of antibiotics as part of a preop for upcoming unrelated surgery in 5 days. Thank you

From initial appearance to extreme symptoms was about three days. Seeing as it was the weekend I went to the ER. They did a pelvic exam am told me all was fine I only had vaginitis from a little bacterial infection, I was given antibiotics. The next couple of days my symptoms worsened.
