A: When using Monistat® as instructed, your symptoms should improve in 3 days and you should be completely cured in 7 days. On average, most women should experience some improvement within three days and complete relief within seven days. This is the same, whether you use a 1- dose product, 3-day product or a 7-day product. We recommend that you contact your doctor if your symptoms do not improve in 3 days or if you still have symptoms after 7 days. We recommend that you avoid vaginal intercourse to allow the vagina to heal. This product may damage condoms and diaphragms and may cause them to fail. Therefore, you should wait three days after treatment to resume using condoms or your diaphragm. The word “treatment” in this instance refers to when you finished taking your last dose of the product.
